J.T. DOCKERY
(C)art(oon)ist
for These End Times.
Jesse Todd Dockery was born and raised in Gray Hawk, Kentucky, in the shadow of the
foothills of the Appalachian mountains.  Dockery self-published countless zines and
over twenty collections of writings and artwork, most of which were released under his
Hanging Dog Productions imprint (including collaborations with British outsider
artist/musician
Sexton Ming).  Exhibiting as a "fine artist," he  was included in the
Folk Art of the Twenty-First Century show at the Kentucky Museum of Arts + Design and
was selected as one of eight international artists to be in the
Stuckists Punk
Victorian
exhibition, published in the catalog for the show at the National Museum's
Walker
Gallery in Liverpool.  Dockery's work has been included in many group shows, in
addition to three regional one-man shows. His career-spanning interview with
Hubert
Selby, Jr.
saw print in the seventh issue of X-Ray Magazine.  Dockery also performed
on what was to be the final album,
Night Life, by the late, great Hasil Adkins.  J.T.
Dockery currently lives and works in Lexington, KY. He continues to perform in garage
bands.  He has most recently completed the
In Tongues Illustrated book.  He is now
working with author
Nick Tosches on developing his script Spud Crazy into a graphic
novel, as well as working in collaboration with Brine Manley on
Creekwater, currently
being serialized in
North of Center.  He is also working on his next solo book as both
writer and artist,
The Organ-Grinder.
